Not a penny... long live the CD!

AMEN!

i don't believe in itunes.
NOT getting the art that designers produce for the CD's is a rip off.
PLUS i can rip my own at whatever bitrate i want.

now that said i don't have an iphone or a touch but when i do get one i'm sure i will purchase from itunes store.

Around $11 (USD) since February of 2004, since most of my music is just ripped from my CDs and I've only gotten free apps for my touch so far. I don't want to think about how much I've spent on CDs, though.

I have 821 purchased items left, but I have replaced over 500 with ripped cd tracks. With apps and games, I know I have purchased well over $1500 of stuff on iTunes over a period of 4 years. So, that comes out to $375 of iTunes purchases per year. I get about $300 of iTunes cards per year as gifts, and purchase between $50 and $100 of gift cards at Costco for myself (they are about $5-10 cheaper). My iTunes contains 3354 songs and music videos, 44 movies, 495 TV episodes, and 100 apps. The 3993 items take up 162.3gb

Well, to some people it doesn't make much sense to pay for overpriced CDs/iTunes files when you get music with BETTER quality for FREE. So yeah torrenting is nothing to be ashamed of ^___^

Also last time I checked this wasn't a "support RIAA" forum..

So getting 320Kbps MP3 is better than CD:confused:
Well I wasn't talking about mp3 but about lossless (EAC FLAC/Ape etc) which is the exact same quality as the CD (I meant to say better than iTunes files, but I edited in the word "CDs" so sorry for the confusion).

Even if you can't hear much difference between lossless and aac, with lossless, you can re-encode them when a better compression comes.

Crime isn't something to be proud of.

amen as well.:)

just as Northy said, support the artist. they need to be paid for what they do. even tho the record comps are pigs.

Easily over 1 or 2 thousand dollars, but I use iTunes as a TV provider and I would have spent much more on Cable or Satellite.

Nothing. All my TV shows and movies are recorded from EyeTV or ripped from DVD. Music is from my CD collection and ripped game soundtracks.

I like the convenience of it but I find films and TV series DVDs are much cheaper when bought in a shop.

Yeah I buy alot of TV set but usually wait a bit and get them on sale, for Example Smallville I waited till I could get the seasons about $15 a pop, you figure 22 episodes a season = .68 each, ripped. On Itunes SD is $1.99 each, the key is waiting for a good sale a few months after they go onsale
