Once you switch to Mac OS sierra you are going to end up wanting the 200 gb plan. I wonder if they will lower the prices for Mac OS sierra!

As soon as you install it, it just assumes you want to put your Documents and Desktop folders in iCloud, once that is done, it will start storing all your other seldom used files on iCloud

I was using around 48 to 54 on a 150 gig plan. When I installed Mac OS sierra, I now have 130 gb left

I turned off the optimize feature. Or it would of used more, its just storing documents and desktop

I would of allowed it to fill up my iCloud, but I have AT&T uverse and am only allowed 600 gb a month
I might even upgrade to the 1TB plan once Sierra comes out as I can imagine I will be storing a lot more things in the cloud.

I have 5GB and use it to synch my documents, notes, photos and backup my iPhone. I have 4.0 GB left.
5 gig is ok for me but to save and sync all my stuff I would need at least the 50GB option.

I have about 160? GB in Google Drive. I would gladly use iCloud if it allowed me to not sync everything I have in it to my Macbook Air (128GB). Storing stuff on it while not having to sync it to every drive would be nice. I have almost 80,000 photos/videos in Google Photos and it would be nice to store that in the iCloud without having to sync every single one to every device I have.

Looking forward to Sierra.

50gb

Whoever at Apple came up with iCloud Photo Library and the fairly competitive iCloud pricing should be promoted. They are making a fortune judging by this thread.

Except that people are catching on the ICPL is basically broken for any remotely large library. Maybe if you have something tiny, but those of us with 500gb plus libraries - it just doesn't function.

Heaven forbid you try to use it on anything but a Mac. I gave it a couple chances on the best iOS devices they had and it just choked and wouldn't even run most of the time.

What's even more embarrassing for Apple is how well Google Photos works comparatively even with 200k pics/videos. It does all the things Apple promised us and more. I feel stupid still paying Apple $10/mo, I just consider it a backup as opposed to anything useful. Unless they come up with something to fix this in Sierra, I won't have any choice but to leave them.

5gb... when i use cloud, i use Google Drive - iCloud is too unreliable and basic.

50GB, while most are for device backup. 4 devices, including the one stolen. Can afford that money to use it but that's it.
Don't think about "5GB/device", it is simply impossible anyway.

I had the free plan, but when I upgraded to an iPhone 6s+ in December I got messages that there wasn't enough space for a backup because I couldn't delete the backup from my old phone. So I upgraded to the 50gb plan. After a few days with the new phone, I was finally able to delete the old backup, and now I'm only using 4 of the 50gb plan.

I'm not sure what that has to do with what I said and why you are quoting me?

5Go but not using it.
Using a combination of Dropbox for documents and google drive. Tough to beat google drive and Google photos (free) and google music with their current 4 free months promotion ... Even on Apple products.

I have the 200 GB for 3 bucks. I have about 144 GB left. Now moving 50 GB of photos/video from Google was a huge pain and highly time consuming. But it was worth it to cut the last tie to Google.

Only the basic 5GB which i keep backups on. I use Google Photo for photos, Googe Music for music and Google Drive the general cloud storage. I find this the best as i can access my data on any platform plus it's all free.

64 GB iPhone, 16 GB iPhone & 64 GB iPad with 50 GB iCloud and about 7 GB remaining.

I am the only one I know using it too. No one seems to understand "the cloud" or is willing to pay money for it. Like my uncle, sure lets buy my daughter a brand new BMW but god forbid spenting 1 Euro a month on something digital

Why my photo dont upload in my icloud always stay uploading and dont upload i have 3 icloud user always make a new user and dont upload
