Well, TECHNICALLY I have 1.5GB sitting in my G4... only problem is it only registers 1GB because it's the Yikes architecture, which only recognizes 256MB per DIMM. :(

Why is 18004memory ram so much chaper than crucial? is there that much of a quality difference between the two? i have heard some good things about crucial, but the are really expensive

My father has purchased 1GB of memory for my Cube and his G3, along with some memory for his PowerBook G3. The memory has not given us any problems, AFAIK.

I haven't tried memory from Crucial, but why bother when you can get whatever works in its most reduced price form?

It's quantity vs quality. I'm sure crucial charges more for a reason.

Cheaper memory is usually cheaper for a reason. Even w/a lifetime warranty, if something breaks, you have to go through the headache of taking it back.

I've heard everything good about Crucial, but nothing on 1800.

Your call.

I have 768 in my tibook 500. I wouldn't mind upgrading it to the full 1GB though. Probably just wait for my next machine to do that.....
My old 7600 has 384MB RAM.

>(mc68k) I've heard everything good about Crucial, but nothing on 1800.

I guess it's because they don't advertise that much. Some of the best dealers are the ones that do no/little advertising.

Some people may have had issues with 1800 memory before, but that was because they were working on fixing the memory for the 4.1.8 firmware update provided by Apple.

Well I have one 64 mb memory soddered onto my iBook SE (came with it)but I added a 256mb ram so now I have 320! :) It's maxed out!
