I read an interview with a reasonable rich person (something like 50 million pound) here in England, and one problem is how to treat your kids - you want them to enjoy their lives, but don't become useless because of dads money.

His solution: All the kids had to find a job, and he doubles whatever they earn.
Seems to be a Buffet style solution. Something that seems to be happening more and more as the rich realize they are raising a generation of Paris Hiltons.

But as Buffet also says, what you teach kids also matters.

Along with sending them to the right schools (where they can schmooze and network their way to decent jobs.)

Otherwise, people tend to spend money they do not earn ... or destroy the family fortune by trying to turn a family booze business into a media company.

Enough to live comfortably with a wife and 2 kids. Ideally, i am aiming for £100k a year by the time im 30 (not unreasonable for the degree i wanna do).

$1,000,000,000,000,000 ought to do it for me.

then I could buy a big house, a porsche, a maxxed out Mac Pro ($16,885); I could buy a bunch of politicians to stop war and help the environment; I could end poverty, and I might just have enough left over to buy a ps3. :p :D

You might even say, "Screw all that, I'm going to buy Apple!":D
