Internet connection would never cause beach balls... you lost credibility with that one. And how do you determine your CPU is "working at 200%" ???

No sale.
The most common problem for web based apps is slow network speed. Depending on what you are doing, a slow internet connection can most definitely cause beachballs.

To see your cpu usage, use system monitor or istat.

No it can't. You're clearly confused. The only time you can get a beach ball from slow internet is if your internet is faster than your processor\storage drive can handle the information coming in, which is EXTREMELY rare these days. Even with a 100 megabit connection, you'd have almost no chance of overwhelming the processor or storage drive on any SSD-based mac.

I'd love to hear your logic of how your computer can't handle your cable\DSL's 20 megabit data stream coming in, yet it has no problem with a 250 megabit stream of data coming in from a USB 3.0 flash drive.

Popcorn ready for your reply.....

That is nonsense.

at least 1PB of RAM...

And i get the beachball all the time on safari - its nothing to do with the internet speed i have however.

It's not your internet connection speed. It's usually the other parties involved.

Wait, so now it's Google's fault? OMG this gets better and better.

So it's my sink's fault my water coming out of the faucet is coming quicker than the drain can handle. And it's the sink's fault the water is coming out dirty. And it's my sink's fault.....

Done here... you keep thinking your internet service provider is beaming beach balls to your computer... and not that there's something going on that's taking processor resources that you might not know about.

I can say with 100% certainty that my ISP has never caused a beach ball. By your logic, anyone who tethered their phone while on EDGE would have a non-stop beach ball. Or wait, are you saying your internet is too fast for the computer to keep up? Gosh I hope no business users in data centers want to use a Mac, because by that theory anyone who plugs into a gigE ethernet connection is going to be hosed because their brand new Mac can't keep up with a 20 year old technology.
