Judging from Apple's markings on the A7 (http://ifix.gd/1b1RJTu ), it appears the 5S might have 1GB of RAM: http://ifix.gd/15NYbGE
its 1GB.
had it been two they would have promoted it.
Does anyone know how much RAM the iPhone 5S has?
Its more important to me than the 64bit processor but its hardly been discussed anywhere.
this article suggests 2 GB

You have to think they'd up it for 64 bit processing...
Considering 64 bit architecture of A7 CPU and software support in iOS 7, it should be 4GB, I could be wrong though...
AnandTech will give us the exact info, once they get their hands on it.
... and you're probably right...It will not be 4GBs. I'd bet money it's not.
I will be REALLY mad if it's still 1 GB.. That's ridiculous. iOS 6 never killed apps running in the back on my iPhone 5. iOS 7 always has this issue, if I experience the same thing on the 5s I get, I'll be highly upset.
The article doesn't give any reason for believing it's 2gigs.
Apple says its new processor for the iPhone 5s is a 64-bit chip called the A7, and that the iPhone 5s will also run a 64-bit version of Apples iOS 7 (For an explanation of what that means, click here). Apple is claiming that this will boost speed and the graphics you can play on games, but some analysts think this will have little to no effect on performance, as its unlikely that Apple will equip a smartphone with 4 or more GB of RAM anytime soon (Apple doesn't publicize it, but the iPhone 5s likely uses 2GB of RAM).
Oh, really?
Oh, really?
the author is basing on his/her opinion that its most likely 2GB with no hard evidence. so you're basing your belief on the author's belief.

Why are people on this site so friggin argumentative all the time???
I'm not basing anything or stating it as fact. I said the article suggested it.
The guy said nothing in the article suggested it. I pointed out that it did. Thanks for playing.

According to iFixIt's tweet, it looks like 1GB:
No, he said the author of that article doesn't give any reason for believing it has 2GB RAM. You simply misconstrued his post.
Some non apple person's guess is not a reason.
Not necessarily - Apple have never talked about the amount of RAM at an iPhone keynote, even when the 5 was updated to 1GB.
