... September 10th event. Cupertino. All the Journalists from Engadget, The Verge, Ars Technica, the New York Times, everyone that matters in the tech world is there.

The lights go off. A spotlight shines on Tim Cook as he walks down to the stage slowly. Drumrolls occur.

    Applause occurs.

    Applause ends in anticipation.

Tim Cook then stands there for another 20 seconds in awkward silence. Turns around, and walks into the back. Confusion becomes strong. People start laughing because of the apparent joke. On the screens, they read," Thank you for coming, there are exits to your left and right in the back." There are no new Apple products anywhere to be seen.

It'd be one hilarious joke and it would most likely make a 20% drop.

I would love to see this happen. The majority of tech bloggers that attend those keynotes are a bunch of mindless tools and should be trolled accordingly ;)

A key bit to a company's stock performance is benefit of the doubt.

Microsoft gets the BOD, so when they do okay the stock goes up and when they screw up it stays flat. So people watch for and exaggerate successes.

Apple doesn't get the BOD. When they do well, the stock goes up and when they screw up, it goes down. So people watch for and exaggerate failures.

That would certainly be a mistake.

I'd need the use of at least one trollface on the keynote. Have some sort of trailer that builds up anticipation for the iPhone 5S. Just as the phone name appears on the presentation- BOOM -a trollface covers the whole thing.

Then Cook can leave the stage doing this.

It'd be even funnier if no one will write about the new iphone
