Yep. That is question. Anyone bought theirs off Ebay? Please post price and date (at least which month)

you guys think $1,350 is good price for new MBP 15" 2.53Ghz ?

Yup.

I sold my 15" MBP (2.66, early-09) for $1500. Had a 3yr Best Buy warranty, too. I probably could have gotten $1600, if not a tad more, for it.

Hardware depreciates. With Apple it's not as bad, but it still happens.

$1350 is not an unfair price.

Bought it right after the unibody release, its the early 2008 2.4.

Got it on ebay, buy it now for 1250, then had bing for 200 back and another coupon for 100 back. Roughly a thousand for it.

Was a great deal I thought.

320GB HDD 5400rpm
Adobe CS4 Master Collection
Apple Pro Logic
Ableton Live 8
Applecare

au$500.00 :D

How did you get that? Seems to be a good deal.....

My guess would be student discount, then selling iPod touch and free printer. Furthermore the $800 was calculated before any taxes.

So...

$1100 - 230 - 100 = $770

Obviously the $100 or so in taxes were ignored and the fact that you cannot sell the printer or iPod touch at Apple's retail price.

I think I am much more surprised by this. $500 AUD is around $442 US. I would much like this one explained. Did your parents pay the other $2K?

Not including taxes is misleading. Do people think they pay for taxes with different money? Taxes add to the cost.

For my purchase there were no taxes (bought from Amazon), so I obviously had none to include.

My macbook pro was bought in Hong Kong and it cost me around $1150,the one with 2.26G,13.3",160G.

$1799 plus tax. I got an education discount on them when they started at $1999. When the 13-inch model was unveiled at $1199, I was pissed for my bad luck. But I'm glad that Apple has kept making the computers more affordable. I'll have a hard time figuring out what to buy on my next purchase since notebook and desktop are pretty affordable.

I have a friend who just got one of the 13" MBPs a few months ago. I'm darn jealous since I almost never need the extra display size. I use an external monitor, so I could almost deal with a 5-inch display.

That was not what I paid for mine. That was my guess on how MXChristian11 got his for $800, and I still figure it was something along those lines.
If you want to know what I paid, look at the first page; the amount does include taxes.
