I voted that I charge it every night when I retire. BUT.....I have gone up to 3 days on a single charge. Day three it begins to "wind" down and just provide the time for a few hours then that's it.

I'd wait to charge it when I retire, but that's about three years away. :)

The other day, I left for work knowing that I would't return home until later the following day, but I forgot my charger. So I put the watch into power saving mode. I ended up buying a spare charging cable that night, so I took it out of power save. The battery was in the high 90s.

I charge nightly my about 8-9pm to 10pm. Usually at 40-50% or higher. I wear it bed as my silent alarm and sleep tracker. After 7-8 hours it is usually around 92-93% even after 8 months. I then workout and it is usually around 80% after an hour workout. When I shower, I either wear the watch in the shower or clean and put on the sink charger. That usually gets me back to 90+%.

haha, it would definitely be annoying for someone else in the room, but I love it. I sleep in total darkness so couldn't look at a clock if I wanted to.
My wife has voiceover on her phone and watch. If she does not turn it off on both you could wake up to it yacking in the middle of the night. I just tap my night stand to have the watch show the time.

Since this thread is on charging, I also wanted to share (posted another thread too) recent experience of wife's 38mm ceramic back coming off while charging. It just popped off one day while removing from charger.
Sent to Apple since within 1-year warranty and was told a possible replacement but subject to Apple inspection.

A safer way as others suggested would be to "slide" it off the charger instead of pulling, which I'm starting to do with my 42mm.

Oh yes, I charge mine every night.

Does she shower with it? Exercise with it regularly?

That looks like the glue just broke down which shouldn't happen, but may be exacerbated by excessive moisture.

made it 2 full days with 19% left at 11pm on day 2
While that behavior is certainly possible (as you've demonstrated), I wouldn't expect the watch the last 2 days unless you really don't plan on using it at all. I keep mine in airplane mode most of the day (because of work) and if I do nothing with it all day it's usually at about 60% when I go to bed. in generally goes down about 10% while sleeping so I'd be starting day 2 at 50% and that's if I didn't even do a workout (which I do most days)

Every night at bed time.
I used to charge mine every night. Still had plenty left at the end of the day though.

I retired the AW in favor of a Garmin 235 since I've gotten fairly serious about my running. I now only charge my 235 every 5 days or so and I get sleep tracking.

When I wore it, I would charge it every night, usually ending the day with 40-50% depending on how many notifications came through.

i charge once a day. usually at night, but sometimes during the day. i find that it charges really quickly.
