During the weekdays from 7am to 4:30pm my phone is on vibrate due to work. Otherwise, the ringer is on.

99.9% of the time.

I loathe a ringing phone.
I don't say this to disagree with you, but I loathe a vibrating phone. There's just this level of discomfort/anxiety that I get from that "brrrrrrrr. brrrrrrr. brrrrrr" of a vibrating phone. THAT SAID, the old iPhones (like my iPhone 5) are significantly more noisy than the newer iPhones. And don't get me started on the sound of a vibrating phone on a glass desk.

Do the new iPhones use a oscillator like the iPhone 4S did? Or do the new iPhones still use a spinning motor?

I m on quiet at all times except when on RDO or expecting important calls/msgs/email!!

depends where I am at if I am home It rings if I am out and about it vibrates or if I think. then the only ring tone I use is the stoke ring tone.

I should specify I wear an Apple Watch 99.9% of of the time too so my vibrates are rarely heard. Just to be safe my phone is on a mouse pad to duplicate any sound.

With everything I have going on I have come to realize that I'll go weeks at a time with vibrate only on. I am always at work, school, sleeping, or just hang out with friends, so I never have a reason to turn the sound on.

I'm the opposite. I've never had vibrate on any phone I've owned since 1995.

I only have vibrate on when I don't want to be bother. Turns out I never want to be bothered so it's always on vibrate.

Shame really because I have some pretty neat ringtones and alerts.

Mine is on vibrate when I am sleeping and when I am at work, so roughly 16/24 hours out of a day. Some days I even forget to turn it off at work. It doesn't really matter though, as I have my watch to field calls and notifications.

At work it's always on silent (I've turned off vibration because it's so noisy it defeats the purpose of silent). At home the sound is on.

Never have it on vibrate...a custom ringtone tho' on account of many of the packaged ringtones startle me now (medical condition).

No other audible alerts set.

In general it is on ring mode but for example in restaurants or while I'm sleeping I turn it to silent. The ring volume is about 60% of the maximal volume so it doesn't scare me too much. ;) Most of the notification sounds are turned off (especial game apps) but for example WhatsApp and some news app are turned on.
