Didn't particularly see the need to drop an extra $200 on the stainless steel model since this is a first generation product, and the added "toughness" of the stainless steel (stronger casing and sapphire crystal display) weren't worth the increase in price.

I've had my watch a week yesterday and there's not a single scratch on the display that appears under any angle, nor has the aluminum casing been damaged. I've worn from wake to sleep every day so it's definitely getting its use from me. I must just be more careful with my things.
