You just made a gross generalization. You are so far off from the truth.

Also my parents allow it, but they don't support it.

Probably.

I would be very interested in what your future self would have to say 10 years from now.

That ^^^^ is something I find myself wanting to say to so many posts, but I'm chicken because, since I'm almost 68, it sounds too parental.

Thanks for saying it for me!:D

Great... Typical MacRumors. I come to a forum to provide assistance (or rather in this case, a larger sample group) and I get condescendingly questioned and offered advice. STAY THE **** ON TOPIC. If you have something to say to me, PM it to me.

22.. been used to having to pay for a data plan since I had phones that required them before the iPhone. I used to not mind the price so much as my use was unlimited, but paying the same price now days because of a situation where I had to get a new phone number/contract and lose my unlimited data really sucks.

You're welcome

I have no desire to pm you.

Save the temper tantrums for home.

Stone Age and counting !!! (I'm 41 :D)

Proud to be an ancient apple user.

Data plan here is 39€/mo for unlimited minutes and SMS, and 2gb/mo.
I can afford it but what I really hate is to pay something like 900$ for my 16 Gb iPhone 5 in Italy.

I'm 38. Don't own a smart phone because of the data plan. In fact, I wouldn't own a cell phone at all if it wasn't for my wife. Just to clarify, I'm that guy that everyone assumes has a smart phone. I'm the tech lead for my division.

I'm of the opinion that my bare bones plan with two lines costs way too much. Technology is supposed to get cheaper over time. Why does my cell phone plan keep going up? At this rate, there's no way I'm paying for data.

24.

The price is too high (monthly data) because the value isn't there. $30 for unlimited? Good value. For 1gb? Bad value, because then the carriers are just pushing data cost on to cable providers. That's not fair.
