I don't really do a lot professional rendering stuff, so I still couldn't find a reason to go for a Mac Pro. My original setup still pleases my eyes. Apple did a damn good job with there last G4 edition. Never had a single problem.

:):):)

Thank you Apple !!

Original 23 Display, endless Baracudas HDs...

Very nice. Is that a Sony Vaio keeping your PowerMac company over there? :p

This may very well be the longest i have ever had a single computer. Still runs great :)

I didnt read through all the posts, but I have a Blueberry iMac, with 266mhz of raw power, that still runs. It even runs OS X reasonably well. I got that iMac when I was 12, in 1997, so it is 10 years old. Although I havent used it for some time, I do like to fire it up every now and then and recall the memories from when I first fell in love with the mac.

I'm posting this on a 400 MHz B&W G3 I got used in 2001 for $800. In fact, my USB keyboard died the other night (cable went near the base of the keyboard), so I'm now typing this on the keyboard that originally came with my Mac Classic back in '91. Thank goodness the B&W G3 still had ADB! (Yeah, it's time for an upgrade BIG TIME.)

I'm running Panther and while it's a bit slow, it's still my everyday box. I plan to get one of the MacPro towers on the next refersh and drive it into the ground over the next 8 years like I have this one!

I have put three or four new HDs in her over the years, replaced the zip drive with a USB 2.0 card and connector bay, swapped out the OEM DVD-ROM for a combo unit and boosted the RAM, but other than that she's all old school. :)
