This is not all of them, but some snippets on my collection. Still need to go back and rearrange some. There are lots of kids movies, but that happens when you have 2 little girls :)

Hey Guys

I just started my iTunes infatuation this year with blu ray digital copies, now I am only buying HD content (mainly Sci fi, retro comedy and non fiction). But enough of the waffling heres my collection, however i
got more films in wishlist hehehe.

I use iFlicks and have been using it for the past 480 movies and a lot of Tv shows! works perfect and quick for artwork and all the meta tags! HD 1080p super nice!!!

I found a nice place to get all 1080p content :apple:

Hey guys

I think most here have noticed that itunes has a funny way of classifying genres, for instance Avatar appears in Action and Adventure instead of Sci - fi. That said is there any way to change the genre for my purchased iTunes content.

thats protected (DRM) so you can't change it.

Umm, sure you can. Just right click on the title, select "Get Info" and go to the "Info" tab. At the bottom of that window is the Genre field where you can change it to whatever you like.

did you use Handbrake? if so what pre-setting did you use for them?

I personally use the Apple TV 3 setting. The encodes work fine on my Apple TV 3 and as long as I'm careful not to let the encodes go above 1920x1080 pixels they work great on my iPad 3 as well. I haven't tested everything, but all the files I've tried to play on the Apple TV 2 work as well (though they don't display in 1080p of course).

I have noticed the stuff in iTunes that you buy does sometimes get switched back to it's original iTunes genre if you have the option to show cloud viewable movies in iTunes checked. Once I removed that option it fixed the issue and they stayed in the genre I put them in.

I have one Allowed For Kids Genre that I put all my kid's movies in. The rest I stay pretty standard.

Big thanks I guess when i have some free i organise my films in the appropriate genres, to get ready for a Apple TV.

You're welcome. It is a bit of a slow process, but it's worth it if you're picky about genres like I am.

One more tip: you can change multiple items at once. Just select them all and then "Get info" and change the genre. It's nice if you're changing the genre of a series of films. Or if you're condensing genres.

For example, at one point I had Action, Action & Adventure, and Adventure genres. To simplify things I just changed them all to Action. And I only needed to change it in one place, by selecting the whole genres of Adventure and Action & Adventure.

Here is an another another quick question when my movie starts growing is there any options in iTunes where i can reduce the size of coversheet in order to fit more movies into a window?

Pretty well organized.

One suggestion on the Harry Potters - open Info on them and use "Sorting" tab to Sort them as "Harry Potter 1", "Harry Potter 2", etc., so they'll display in order while retaining their actual titles. I do this with all "series" movies to make organization cleaner.

Edited to add: It will sort them exactly how you list, them, so you need to remember to drop things like A, An, and The from the front if you want them sorted "properly".

Good call, wilco.

There used to be a slider that you could use to change the size of the artwork, but that feature went away with the release of iTunes 11. It's one of the features I miss the most from 10. The artwork size for movies is just too big in 11.

What I'd love with series films is ability to group them all as one cover art of a small pic of all covers, click on it to expand to show you them all.

Pretty well organized.

Does the little cloud icon mean you've purchased them all via iTunes? But you are still storing them on your Mac?

Heres an update on my movie collection its still in its infant stages and very neat :p. I also sorted out my genres thanks 'solohcin', as i hate how iTunes classify a film like Avatar as action and adventure.
