How scratch-proof is the screen?

Had my 3G since launch and no scratches anywhere, but I keep mine in a belt holster/case thingy.

I haven't had my as long. I got it a whopping 20 minutes after launch. Plus I was on west coast time, so the stores opened later than in the rest of the mainland U.S. No wonder my iPhone is still in such fine shape!

My 3G has a scratch UNDER the glass! I'll post a pic soon, think i could get apple to swap it out? as there is no way i could do it?
