My 2 year old MBP is getting pretty scratched up on the bottom. Unfortunately I never really consider getting a case for it. We just got my wife a 13" MBP about six months ago and the first thing I bought for it was a nice snap case. I've thought about getting one for myself but don't really see the point in spending $40-50 now thats there's already damage done.

2008 MB here
There's a very large dent right in the middle of the top because it fell on its own power cable from a height of barely one foot. The side of the screen was slightly bent because it fell once again, I managed to bend it back so you can barely see it now. The middle of the bottom is full of scratches because it scrapes over every surface it touches, possible because the bottom is warped (from the beginning).
I normally tend to take good care of my stuff, but since I carry my little macbook everywhere everyday it's bound to get damaged. There's no doubt that a plastic notebook would have fallen apart by now, what with all the tables I've bumped into.

Mine is still flawless although I am not very careful with it nor keep it in a protective case or have wrapsol stuff anywhere on it.
I just checked for wear but not even around the headphone jack is any scratch with all the blind fiddling into the jack. Seems quite resistant to scratches. What is the point of this wrapsol and invisible skin stuff. Seems like some money making scam.
