How the White iPhone 3G should have looked

Maybe they'll transition to something like this after a while. I personally think it would have made the white verison more appealing if they made them to look like the OP's photo. I might have even considered getting one in white instead of black

i like it, i don't like the plastic backs though. the feel cheap.
also is the apple logo painted on? thats what it look & felt like to me.

I love this...
I wish they would offer an all white like that.

It just meshes better with previous product design.
They wouldn't offer a white macbook with a black screen surround (just doesn't make sense.)

I know I have never seen white tinted glass.

White tinted glass is out there and it looks super sexy. This is definitely how the white iPhone should have looked. Then maybe I would have considered one.

The original iPods had white fronts. It was surprising that Apple gave the white iPhones black fronts. I found it a little off, almost like someone modded 2 iPhones and switched the fronts/backs.

Simply comes down to margin. Apple isn't about to buy painted LCD panels on top of the black manufacturing. Plastic backs, way cheap to produce painted.

Would you be willing to share the source files for this?
...or are you going to try and profit from it?

I'm assuming you're going to make a template from the paper.

Either way, great idea...I'd even like to see what this would look like in other colors, for those people that are hard core wanting red.

...but if you do decide to share, I'd love to have one made out of vinyl.

If they had a white one with a white front and white button, I probably would have bought one without a second thought.
