How To: Change a 2GB data plan to unlimited!

Hi i did all the steps with a new sim card. Everything went fine. Now the phone says waiting for activation. Its been like this for 30 mins.

Do I have to call ATT?
or
Can cut the sim down and put it in my Iphone 4 now? and wait for the text

Wait for the 2g to activate. It took mine a few hours when I did it.

Same thing here. I just did this about an hour ago. The iPhone 2g is activated (it only took like 5 minutes not even) and then I put the microsim into my iPhone 4. I have service, but have no received any text message on the iPhone 4 yet.

Also on my online account it shows my old 2gb data package, and when I try to click "Manage Features" I get this error:

F908: We're sorry, but we are experiencing a temporary system error that prevents us from retrieving your available features information. Please call customer service at 1-800-331-0500.


Is it normal for the website not to update right away or should I worry?


UPDATE: So I was getting worried, however at 10:00 am this morning I got the text message from AT&T that an appropriate data plan was added. I got unlimited! So all and all looks like it took around 14 hours for them to send me the text, but I got it =)

I would wait for the olam to show the 2g and 2g plan. When I did the trick I did it at night so I let the phone activate and the olam was updated and showed the 2g and 2g plan by morning. Then I cut the sim and put it in the iphone 4 and got the texts within 2 hours.

Ok Im going to try this again. Please confirm everything I need.

Just purchased an Iphone 2g online.

Restore it.

Get NEW unactivated Sim card from ATT store.

Put sim in the phone, plug into itunes.

Run setup, activate existing line, pick the $20 data plan.

At this point I got an email from Apple/ATT about waiting for activation of the phone. Anyone else get that? It never seemed to recognize my 2g phone for hours and stayed on waiting for activation forever.

Wait to see if my online account management changes to Iphone 2g + $20 unlimited data plan.

Then use my sim cutter, cut the sim and put sim into my Iphone 4.

Wait for Text about new data plan?

Am I missing anything
