I never claimed this technology, in its current form, is tracking anyone. I have even said in other threads that I have no doubt Apple is doing this with the best of intentions. What I am more concerned about is that this technology is just another step down a path to a destination where I don't want to go. It normalizes the idea that our phones are useful to other people for other things I did not intend when I purchased my phone. It certainly isn't the first step in that direction nor is it even close to the last step, it is just another step.
I'm guessing the next step will be some employers and/or insurance companies "encouraging" everyone to voluntarily put the app on their phones. And by encouraging I mean mandating.

So if you live in NYC and are around more than 10 people over the next 14 days your chances of getting notified that you may have been exposed to COVID-19 is nearly 100%.
The state's mortality rates remains persistently high at about 7.4%. The antibody testing indicates the actual death rate may be far lower.
