It works great so far. Thank you. If iPhone version uses same pattern can you patch it as well?
what do u do with that file? and what version of optimum app does this work for?
UPDATE- forget it, got it working with latest optimum app, works but just laggy cuz im using 3g from phone and im home soo cant test on another wifi, but im sure itll work!! this is awesome thank you so much
on iphone i get an error dpkg: requested operation requires superuser privilage

yes it worked on my brothers iphone, but not on mine, i still have superuser problem
UPDATE- worked on mine as well, installed it through mobile terminal as root, rather running it through iFile

hmm..all of it lol..im already out of the country..how would i be able to set this up from abroad? i can have someone at home tweak stuff if need be..im not sure how to set up a vpn or install a .deb file..im guessing i can easily find all of these things by googling them..but if this solution works, im sure a ton of people will want to set it up, so it'd be nice to have a easy to follow guide
Page 1 I have instructions how to setup a VPN server on a mac. I'll write how to do the deb file.
To load the deb file.
Download the appropriate debfile to your computer.

iPhone deb file: http://cl.ly/0i3F0J0C3d0V2U3r1r2f
1. On a jail broken iPad/iPhone in cydia search for and install iFile.
2. Open iFile. In the bottom middle of the screen click on the WiFi icon. It starts a web server so you can use a browser to connect to your iPad/iPhone.
3. At the top it will say accepting connections at and give you the address to connect to. It should look something like 192.168.1.100:10000.
4. Type the address into your web browser on your computer.
5. You will see the directory of the device. Click on Var, Then mobile, then Media so you're in the Var/mobile/Media directory.
6. At the bottom you see Upload a file. Choose the deb file and upload it to the Var/mobile/Media directory.
7. In iFile on the device click done. Now navigate in iFile to the Var/mobile/Media directory.
8. Click on the deb file and click Installer when the window pops up. It will run some code and you should see as the last line "Finished with Results Code: 0 if it ran properly.
9. Click Done.
10. Enjoy watching TV again.

Everyone there is an Optimum app update. Make sure you backup your current working version before you try the update. The update may break the deb file work around.
