"Coconut battery" - is that the actual name of the app? Is Coconut the publisher? When I search the App Store I don't find a Coconut Battery app, but I do see battery apps, like "Battery Life" by RBT Digital LLC, which has a 4.6 rating. I have a free battery life app that I downloaded some time ago, but it's apparently gone from the App Store - when I click to download the Pro version (no ads), it isn't found in the App Store.
It's a Mac app.

Does anyone who's been through the diagnostics know if iOS 11 is required? Given the bugs I've encountered on my iPad (and the long list of documented issues), I'm not keen on upgrading.

Clarendon and Pentagon City stores out of iPhone 6 batteries over the weekend. “Don’t know” when they’ll get more.

:(

The great Apple battery ploy continues. Just came from my closest Apple store in King of Prussia, PA (USA). I called first and they told me yes they can replace my iPhone 6 Plus battery in the store. Made an immediate appointment, received my confirmation and arrived today. 1-1/2 hour round trip drive. Waited 10 minutes. When the Apple employee came out he confirmed my phone information and said "Sorry, Apple no longer makes that battery. After I picked up my fallen jaw, I said your kidding. Why was I not told this by the person I spoke to or through the email confirmation? Got a shrug. He told me to check back in late March to get an update. Are you kidding!!!!!
No one will convince me that Apple hasn't done this to sell new Phones. I have 2 iMacs, 2 Mackook Pro's, 2 Apple watches, 3 iPhones and 4 iPads and an Apple TV in my house. Im done I feel I was lied to and they totally disrespected my time and loyalty. Ebay'ing the phone and Watch and heading to Samsung. Not the best but at least they don't pull this shady business. Steve I miss you. You would have never let this happen. Shame on Apple. That new Samsung "Lying and cheating heart" ad hits it right on the mark. iPhone 6 plus owners, you are about to get the Apple seed stuck in your throat.

Thanks - I'll install it on my MacBook.
[doublepost=1517338048][/doublepost]I think Apple already regrets the $29 no questions asked battery replacement offer. I made a Genius Bar appointment for last Friday for my iPhone 6, which is almost three years old. If Apple agreed to the appointment, then they should have a battery to put in it, right? Wrong. I showed up for my appointment, was told, "Wait in this line", then finally got called 20 minutes later. In the meantime, someone came by to remind me to turn off Find My iPhone, which I did.

When I finally sat down with a couple of employees, they did some checking and told me they didn't actually have any iPhone 6 batteries in stock, so they would have to order one, with a wait of "several weeks" to come in. After that, they can schedule an appointment. So why didn't they just call or email me with that information beforehand, instead of making me waste an hour of travel time and waiting in the store?

I guess the response has been much larger than they expected. They were obviously not prepared for the volume. I was in the store the first week of the battery offer and had no problem. It might be a normal procedure but they also pulled a white box replacement off the shelf and attached it to my phone when it went in for replacement. I was basically told if the genius messed up my phone in any way i will get the white box replacement.

Finally reserved myself an appointment slot... Sucks I have to wait almost 3 weeks before it arrives at my local Apple store

I finally got my battery replaced today, five weeks and four days after I made my Genius Bar appointment. I got an email on Saturday telling me that the battery was in, and I could drop the phone off anytime to have it installed. It also mentioned that if I didn't show up by next Saturday (March 3rd), that the part could be released to stock, to be used for other repairs.

I say "my battery", but that's no longer correct. In the intervening time I upgraded to a iPhone X, and my youngest daughter is now using the iPhone 6. When I showed up to drop off the phone, I was told it would take two hours, so I returned about 3-1/2 hours later and picked it up. It was $29 plus tax, for a total of $31.39. I did have to turn off Find My iPhone, but I didn't have to take off or give them the phone's passcode.

They really need to implement a different procedure, reservation-wise. They shouldn't make people show up for a Genius Bar appointment, only to tell them they still need to order a battery, and wait weeks for it to come in.

Does anyone know how many phones can I take in-store and get the batteries replaced with one appointment slot? Thinking of taking all the families' iphones in at once!

They will probably run a diagnostic on the phone and replace the battery only if it shows a problem. Don't assume they will replace it just because you ask.

This must be a new policy because the last time I went in Jan 2018 they ran a diagnostic and told me nothing was wrong. A month later the battery was so bad the phone would not boot.
Sounds more like someone didn't really follow the policy (either inadvertently or on purpose) given that it seems like it was supposed to be in place since the beginning of the year.

3 or 4 should be OK, assuming that they are part of the program -- all iPhone 6, etc.
If you bring in 10, or 20, there might be some questions about that.

Or, you could simply call AppleCare, and ask: "I have got (this number) of iPhone 6 devices. Can I replace all batteries in one visit?"
Seems like a reasonable request, again assuming some normal number for a family.
The bigger problem would be a teen giving up the phone for more than 10 minutes, eh?

don't suppose anyone knows how many replacements I could get away with in one slot
Given that different stores and perhaps even different representatives and even at different times can approach things differently, seems like the best approach would be to find out specifically for the appointment that you might be setting.

Lol you’re quite right, wondering who’ll crack first, the teen or the wife!

Thanks everyone, I’ll give them a call

Technically you're supposed to have 1 appointments per device. Some Apple Stores (mostly flagship locations) still have a battery express line for those without appointments. Just make sure you let the check-in person know you have X amount of phones up front.

You sure? I thought it was on-demand.‍♂️
I called and "demanded" (more so 'requested') that my local Apple store to do my battery replacement and they scheduled me a slot once the battery arrived after 2 weeks. No Diagnostic test was done beforehand, but they were reluctant to doing the replacement due to there being a small nick in the bottom left corner on the front of the phone, in that case I was very insistent for them to perform my placement and suggested that they have me sign a waiver to indemnify them of any liability if need be, but it really didn't go that far anyway. They did do it, but when I asked them if they could give me my old battery back [to ensure the task was actually done] they made some vague excuses that it would be a a safety risk if battery contained any contaminants and so they had to dispose of it subsequently, whatever that means.
