This has to be satire, right? I thought the same thing about the guy who said he "wanted to take a trip to Dynamic Island" and was disappointed with the results. How can people this neurotic exist? Take a trip to a real island and get in touch with reality, good God.
Sadly, the OP has an ongoing pattern. Check his posting history. He complains about almost everything with Apple. He seems to like picking obscure things to rant about.

iPhone is the most expensive phone you can get in market, they suppose to be the best and I cannot say anything about it.

The lol xd after every single post makes me think he’s about 12 years old.

Doesn’t matter for me as long as you get my message: 14 pro max effective screen is smaller than 13,12 pro max and 14+ just because Apple wants to make some animations around the notch and creates a selling point out of something people hate.

Honey, nothing you are saying bothers me. I like my phone. Some rando on the internet isn’t going to change that. But you do you, boo. 😂

All those youtubers iPhone salesman have already mentioned all good things of new iPhone, we should mainly discuss what they would never mention in their YouTube iPhone marketing videos.

Big difference or not is personal feeling, but paying the most to buy 14 pro max suppose to have the biggest screen experience, not smaller than 13,12,11 pro max and 14+
And as you’ve been told several times in this thread, the 14 pro max has a taller screen than the 13 pro max or 12 pro max to compensate for the lower cut out.
iPhone 13 Pro: 6.06 inches of usable screen area
iPhone 14 Pro: 6.12 inches of usable screen area
The screen is taller, the amount of content you’re losing is nothing more than eight pixels. An Eight pixels difference on a screen with 460 pixels per inch is almost unnoticeable.

The iPhone is absolutely not the most expensive phone in the market
Check out Samsung’s line of folding devices, not exactly cheep and approaching double what the iPhone 14 pro costs.
And no, most expensive does not always mean best.

I’ve said it before in another thread. In my view your phone shouldn’t be your dedicated media engine. Yes you can watch YouTube and other things on the road and on the go with your phone, but you really should have a tablet, a laptop, or dedicated console for max viewing of media or gaming.

I use my phone for calls, texting, banking apps, paying bills, stocks/investments, navigation, CarPlay, email etc. etc. etc., so for me the Dynamic Island adds to the multitasking of all these activities. The cut out to me makes no difference just like the notch before it.
Are you seriously telling people NOT to do certain stuffs on the device that is fully capable to do so? Carrying additional devices is simply not an option for a lot of people. By your logic no one should consume any media unless it's on a 80" OLED TV. You don't have to reply if it doesn't solve OP's issue.

We need two phones compare side by side to find out the truth.

I thought the lower position of the pill would be an issue, but once I got my 14 pro it wasn't a huge deal. Most streaming apps I've tried so far cover it up with a black border. When I tried Netflix it did have a slight partial cutout which I can live with.

Ok here is the truth

Just zoom in little bit, you can easily tell pill notch is much lower but I cannot tell 14 pro max screen is taller than 13 pro max at all. This is the truth.

In iOS 16.1, the pull down feature to make reachability less of an issue will include the Dynamic Island so that you don't need to have a hand large enough to play in the NBA.

Yes that’s correct. I recommended everyone to carry an 80” OLED TV with their iPhone wherever they go because that’s the more sane thing to do. 🤷🏻‍♂️

OP’s issue has been solved. The 2022 iPhone has been created and distributed. Nothing to do except make the individual choice whether you want to purchase this years product. There is an alternative. The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 plus still have the notch. He can buy one of Those or maybe look at what another manufacturers offering. That’s it.

You can check the physical height of 14, 13 pro max, almost exactly same height, so the two iPhone pictures compare is correct.

I browse on my phones a lot. On 14P, using Safari, there is additional dead space at top to accommodate "Dynamic Island" that is large and distracting and makes a good portion of screen real estate dead, unused space. Side by side with 13P, it's a significantly shorter viewing window, slightly taller screen or not. This apparently doesn't bother a lot of people but to me it's a step backwards and not what I was expecting with all the hype. Not worth the other features because it feels like a large step backwards toward large top bezels of 4-5 years ago. I'll stick with my 13P, this one's going back, and hopefully they'll somehow address/resolve issue by next year bc I really wanted that brighter screen. This doesn't feel like an overall improvement to me.
