Thought all the replies were hilarious!! On a serious note I actually followed the instructions and surprisingly it does work.

In all seriousness. What is this even saving... Maybe a quarter of a second?

It does work on my phone, but to me its not wrong this blink of an eye difference to get to my home screen. Especially when I can use the double click feature for my phone favorites, which saves even more time. Just my opinion..

I want to know when apple are going to fix the slow home button issue without us having to find workarounds.

It works by a small margin.

Members, this IS a real thing. Is it relative to save milliseconds? Yes!

But if you adjust your Home Button double-click to Home it will certainly close Apps more quickly. The OP confused people when they instructed to change triple-click settings as well; most have this by default.

In other words, do you want snappy or functionality out of the home button?

That made it a whole .000025 seconds faster!

I think I'll go back to double click for ipod now

if it doesnt work for you, then you probably have to too much junk over loading your phone which is causing it to be slow, you phone is just slow in general, you have too many processes running at once, or your phone is just screwed up. because it works for every one else.

My iPhone is perfect. I don't have too much "junk" over loading my phone, it is not slow in general, I don't have too many processes running at once (I am not jailbroken), and my phone is not "just screwed it".

It didn't do anything noticeable. Even if it did, I'd still rather have "Phone Favorites" as my double-click setting.

It made no noticeable difference on my Badboy iPhone Pro.

yes ur phone is screwed up. take it to apple and get a replacement. because this was extremely noticeable for me.

LOL I think you're a little screwed up :D

FYI i have a 3 month old 3GS never been jailbroken, only like 8 apps on it maybe your phone was slow and bogged down before you did this and then thats why you noticed the difference? ever think of it that way? my home button was already nearly instantenous thats why I didnt notice much difference, it really cant get much faster than it already was.

Well, I'm on my way. I already told you that I was getting right on that.

Did you try the tip that I suggested earlier in the thread? Did it work for you?

Hey, that didn't work for me either. My phone is obviously "screwed up." Could it be my screen hot sweat and iphone heavy causing this not to work.

Agreed. Same here. My 3GS is a replacement that I received ~2 weeks ago. Mine couldn't be any faster either.

Hmmm..... it might be that. The way to test it is to throw your iPhone on the ground as hard as you can, and if the screen shatters, then you know that is the cause.;)

How do you set that up?:)

Double-click Home to open Camera: go to Settings>General>Home, and choose "Camera" in the "Double-click the Home Button for:" menu.

This is PURE BS! What if my iPhone was opened, and I broke the connector thing for the home button? A double/tipple click won't help. This isn't going to fix my hardware issues.

/sarcasm/

This never helped with software either. Also, I can have no 3rd party apps on my 2G, and 1805 like I normally do. It runs as slow as hell. Apps don't matter. Apple justs purposely slows the older iPhones down.
