1) Open iTunes, download the Netflix app for iPad.
2) Drag and drop Netflix from iTunes onto the desktop.
3) Rename the file Netflix.ipa as Netflix.zip.
4) Extract the archive.
5) Locate the file /Netflix/Payload/Netflix.app
6) Upload Netflix.app to /var/stash/Applications on your iPhone.
7) Recursively change the permissions for Netflix.app. I used iFile. You can also SSH into your phone and use the following command:

Code:
login root [note: you will be asked for your root password]
chmod -R 755 /var/stash/Applications/Netflix.app
8) Open Cydia and install User Agent Faker [note: not UserAgent Faker; they are two different packages. If you have UserAgent Faker installed, uninstall before installing User Agent Faker]
9) Open Settings > User Agent Faker.
10) Toggle Enabled to "ON."
11) Tap "User Agent" and choose "Apple iPad." Tap "Back."
12) Tap "Applications" and toggle both Safari and Netflix to "ON."
13) Close settings, reboot.

That's it! Congratulations, you now have Netflix on your iPhone!

To play a movie:

1) Open MobileSafari.
2) Login to Netflix.com
3) Find a movie, and press "Play."

Here's what should happen:

1) A webpage saying "You're almost ready to watch [Movie Name]" will open.
2) After about a second, Safari will minimize.
3) Netflix will open and display the Netflix logo.
4) A progress notice will appear saying "preparing..."
5) Your movie will open in the Netflix app.

Wow! I'll have to try this

Can anybody explain to me what "SSH into" means when referring to copying the Netflix app into your iPhone using SSH?

It means using SSH, you drop the theme/app/file into your phone's theme/app/file folder. Basically what it sounds like.

How exactly do you extract the Netflix file somewhere?

In Windows Explorer, I renamed the file to the .zip file, then right clicked and did "send to" compressed/zip file. I then extracted that file to the desktop, but there is no Payload folder or any folder for that matter

Once you rename it to .zip double click it, if you have winzip it will extract it.

I feel like such an idiot

When I double click it it has a pop up that says "The application Netflix already exists in your iTunes library. Do you want to replace it with the one you are moving?"

Awsome!!! Just got this working changed the icon on perfect browser to a netflix icon and set the home page to my netflix page. Thanks to OP for this tip.

Your not the only idiot, I am having the same issue

Come on, somebody help us idiots out :p

*edit*, I finally figured it out

After renaming it, right click it, and instead of "send to", select "7-zip"

*edit again*, nope, that was wrong, I guess zipping it didn't work right because the guys on modmyi.com who had problems were with corrupted zip files

You can also get Netflix via Hava + Hava app (or probably also Slingbox) ...with that you can access your Tivo's Now Playing List, which is where Netflix is. ;)

Gah, I cannot get this to work. I think I'm not zipping properly. I seriously feel like an idiot but can someone please explain how to zip it out of Windows Explorer?

My 3rd try I did it this way (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6kotJVvDkw) but still can't get it to work

I'm using DiskAid to copy Netflix.app into the Applications folder, would this for some reason be a problem?

When I click on "play" in iTunes it gives me a screen in the browser that says "you're almost there" or something and has a thing about buying the app for iPad, but then it just closes altogether

I figured it out!

Follow these instructions:
http://maximumpcguides.com/windows-7/show-file-extensions/

-then rename the Netflix 1.0.4.ipa file name to Netflix 1.0.4.zip
- Extract All, then you should get the whole other folder with the payload :D

I used WinSCP to copy the files, its like a windows explorer for ssh.

What did you do for steps 8-10? after you added the Netflix.app folder.

I am using WinSCP, but don't know how to change the permissions for the Netflix folder.

Yeah, I figured that out from the YouTube link I posted. After I finish it all, it still doesn't work for me :(

Once in Netflix it briefly shows a screen saying "you're almost ready to watch yada yada yada" and then closes

I'll try filezilla when I get home.

When I upload to the same directory as the stock iPhone apps, netflix isn't there for me to change permissions. But when I upload to the folder where the iTunes apps are(with the random folder names) I can manually change permissions. Netflix site still tells me I need the app, and redirects me to iTunes.

In winscp right click netflix folder and select properties, make sure Octal = 0755, then check "Set group, owner etc... And hit OK.
