Yea it may be wonky at best but the manager said he would stay over night and put orders for all those that came in for the pre-order today. They also have a list of customers who pre-ordered during their business today so I'm sure when the shipments comes in it will go to the customers who already put down the deposit over a walk in. We'll see. AT least I don't have to stay till 2 AM CST to pre-order.
I don't get it. What's in it for the manager besides overtime? The iphone sells itself. Is the manager's name Earl by chance?

Well not sure the managers name and obviously manager was not in office today so likely we'll be working night shift. But the rep did contact the manager while I was there.

Also I think it varies on which Verizon store you go to. I don't think all Verizon store is doing this.

It seems a LOT of extra work for the manager to do this, that's why it makes little sense to me.
But well it's the manager's choice if he choose to do it. I haven't been to other Verizon Store so I don't know what they plan on doing. Always YMMV.

Can primer customer order via Apple if there doing the next plan like I'm doing I check Apple page eligible it's says for next plan 24 months

They still have to login into preorder just like us, there is no back channel access or anything. He would have to do each one that preordered one by one....

It's not down, people, per se… This happens every single year several hours before preorders start. They're just switching over to their order website loading the new phone choices into website… They change the pictures on the screen and all that. Happens every single year. Patient. Remember not to freak out either… The Apple app didn't go live until 12:11 AM PDT last year. But all Apple people within the first few hours got their phones on opening day. Just be patient.. Breathe..

based on my past experience, it doesn't really matter like if you enter your logins or have your credit number copied ahead of time.

the real thing is, apple seems to open their pages to people at different time (for obvious reasons). some people could have ordered 3 and gone to bed already, while some other can't even open the web store. and this seems to be completely random, irrelevant to your account or anything.

so my suggestion is, get two or three devices, put them under different network (like WIFI vs cellular), and hope for the best

btw, i remember reading news apple has shipped ~8 tons of products (most likely iPhones) two days before the event, so the supply shouldn't be a huge problem this year. at least not like iPhone6.
plus, apple has not really changed the design much this year, so it's much easier for the production, hence supply

How long does the apple upgrade program take to enroll? And can I enroll now or I have to wait till the phone is in my cart?

so around 2:58 eastern time should i just keep the Apple Store App on my iPhone open with the message on my screen saying that the apple store is down and then the message will suddenly dissapear at exactly 3:00AM and let me go through the pre order process in the app? or do i need to close the Apple Store app on my iphone and re open it at exactly 3:00AM for the Apple store is down message to disappear? im unclear about this

Just start closing the app out and opening it around 2:50 to be safe. There is no automatic refresh within the app.

What he said I don't have it open I will open it then

My question is will it be on the discover tab or the shopping section the preorder sir

hmmmm I'm sure as soon as you load the app it will be right there for you to click on. But if you saved the configuration you want, you should be able to hit account and then favorites and go from there.
