I was just at an Apple Store today and they said I could not buy a full price phone with no contract. Really?!

Sure seems like their sales guys are pushing hard to sell phones with contracts and don't know anything about contract-less phones.

Strangely he said if I traded in my old iphone I could get one.

Also said I couldn't get a T-mobile as the line was already full for the day?

Not quite sure what the deal is. Guess I'll keep my eyes peeled for t-mobile online to buy with pickup.

Go to a different Apple store. All stores allow you to buy any model "Device only" full price. I'd call back and ask to speak to a manager and find out why the employee would not sell you a device only iPhone.

In store make sure you ask for T-Mobile, AT&T or Verizon "Device only." Do not use the words unlocked. (All Device only iPhone are sold unlocked.)
