Perhaps you could even cut an apple shaped hole in the back and let some of the backlight shine through :D

Personally, I like having the Dell there. It shows I'm not some kind of fanatic, but that I have the sense to recognize quality and a good deal no matter where I find them -- and that's why the computer is a Mac.

If you really really have to....

what is so wrong with dell? their computers are of a poor quality compared to a mac, but what do we care about wintel machines anway? its macintel all the way!!!

and as for the monitor dell makes great monitors, you should be happy to use them!!! the monitor i have the 2005fpw uses the same screen as the 20" apple monitor, so dell knows how to chose good components for their monitors.

if you really want to get sticky. . . try prying off the front pannel of the monitor. at least on mine it looks like the front plastic covering can be pulled off. then get rid of the dell logo, fill it with some modeling plastic filler then paint it black to match. then cut a piece of aluminium from your favorite beverage can and use a brillo pad to give it the brushed Al effect. then glue it on the front!

Can someoen care to tell me how to get rid of that stupid Dell logo so i can put an apple logo on it?

it doesn't blend in well with my future powerbook. ITS TOO UGLY.

Buy a Powerbook. :D

For me the problem is not the Dell logo but whole damn black plastic case. I actually find their LCD TVs pretty pleasant to look at. I know it'd be an expensive mod, but I'd actually consider replacing the entire front piece with some other material.

I remember seeing a post of someone taking the Dell LCD apart and painting it white. It actually looked pretty cool. Metallic paints tend to look cheesy, but if you found one that was even and not so shiny, it could look pretty cool to repaint the LCD silver.

(pssst. don't tell anyone else. i put it on just for this thread. it's a joke....)

:D I was actually silently thinking to myself: Some people just need to get a grip. That's insane.

Guess that depends on what you're placing it next to. My DELL looks fine next to my Shuttle box (which IMO looks quite nice). An Apple Cinema whould look completely out of place (My old 15" Cinema sure did).

It's all about consistency.
