how to reset the notification center calculator?

since upgrading to high sierra, my sidebar calculator shows 2.166,9, no matter how many times i press AC or C. I tried to delete and add the calculator, the result is the same. If i use the calculator it works, but as soon as recall notification center the number is back.

Reboot after just to safe and try again

Thanks for the tip, sadly it doesn’t work. After restart the same number appears

ha, thought it was fixed finally (it just showed '0' 3 times in a row). but 4th time opening NC, and... an old number i added up to is back; this has been so thru most of the betas, so... still not fixed.

sigh, was just gonna post this as fixed in PB5, when... the same old number popped up (in both my macs).

what's up with apple and calculator apps? the ios11 one is seriously buggy, and so's the HS notification center one. and neither one is fixed yet...

I opened a radar about this quite a while back and it's marked as a duplicate of another radar that's still open (34089724), so it seems a fix is pending, sadly. I use the calculator in the Today panel a lot, so it's very annoying. It's hard to believe that Apple wouldn't have data on how many people use the calculator on macOS and iOS, and how many people bugs in these apps therefore impact, but here we are.

Try this, it worked for me.
Go to folder "~/Library/Containers/com.apple.ncplugin.calculator/Data/Library/Preferences" and remove the file "com.apple.ncplugin.calculator.plist"
