Hi,

I'm trying to sort out a battery drain issue (3GS) and it seems to be much, much less of an issue when 'Cellular data' is turned off.

When I turn it on, the usage log shows some data being used, but I dont know how?

I only have the standard apps installed, an I dont have manual checking for new emails. Notifications are off.
I have 4.3.1 and tried deleting my email account and adding it back.

Any ideas how to trace the data leak?

Well you'll know data is being used (when you have a 3G/E/o symbol) because there will be a spinning circle to the left of the clock whenever its being accessed. I doubt your phone uses data in sleep.

Ah but that's not always true, some use data without the little wheel spinning!

Yeah - thats the problem. Whatevers using it isnt showing the spinning wheel. Hopefully I can live with manually turning the cellular data off and on until the iphone 5 comes out.

Maybe an apple store can help.
