How to Track Your iPhone X Order Before Apple Sends You a Tracking Number

Tracking by my phone # returned nothing but tracking by the 1st 8 characters of order # shows mine is in China 😀 Apple order status still says preparing to ship.
 
Where the hell is the track by reference number link. When I'm on the site it just redirects me to looking with just the actual tracking number.

Go here https://wwwapps.ups.com/WebTracking/track?loc=en_US left side navigation right below the Green Track button is the Section to do a Track by reference. Don't click on the hyper link there, click on the Plus sign + to open the section and enter the information for the search.

I see the link track by reference but it keeps sending me to track by tracking number. I'm using my iPhone right now and can't seem to get to the full site.
 
Guys, just remember that if you do not see your tracking info changing, it doesn't mean that it isn't moving, something things do not get scanned... Ether way, we all are waiting to see Alaska on the tracking info... LOL
