my iphone has version 2.2.1 on it right now,
i heard that if you update it just by updating that it will break your iphone.
so, how can i update it to the newest firmware while keeping it unlocked / jailbroken?

would i have to reset the iphone completely and delete everything and then re-unlock and jailbreak it?

umm a little more info, 2g, 3g, 3gs?

haha

owned by a Newbie ya gotta love that! 😛 it's a 3G or lower. Since the 3GS never had 2.2.1 so it easy to do but I think op should do a little searching! 😉

I really tried, but after more than 20 hours, I couldn't resist ! 😱

Break as in melt or explode in your ear ? 😕

Or just cease to function ? Sorry just too funny to pass on ! 🙄
