Interesting addition to the Wallet, no doubt. I’d just love that Apple would implement here the functionality of sending money to other people via the iPhone as well, but I guess that won’t happen anytime soon!

iOS 17.1 was released yesterday, and in the UK I cannot do this with Barclays, Starling, Amex or Capital on tap.

My Halifax (CC) and Monzo (DC) accounts have worked, but its not working for my Starling (DC) account.

Hopefully Starling gets fixed soon and AMEX (CC) add integration too as that is the main Credit card I use.

I do have a second account with them for euros too, so they could be alluding to that perhaps but my main account is a standard one.

Nationwide have told me there’s no plans to support it… I’ve left feedback using the link provided, hopefully someone outside of the twitter team might give me more positive news.
They support open banking I’m sure as I use that to pay off a credit card every month...

It was actually somewhat worse than that - it had a distinctly off flavour.

But my point was really that a receipt management system would make far more sense than wallets full of paper - much of which is coated with BPA. And especially for lower-cost items.

Yes, this is one fantastic point.
I went to Sainsbury the other day for quite a large shop. At th end she gave me my receipt. My first thought was that I don't remember buying an extra roll of toilet paper. Then I remembered that one side was completely blank. What a a waste.
