How well was the Lion aceptance over Snow Leopard?

Since you're new to OS X, Mission Control makes sense and in many ways it's far superior than Windows' window management.

Yet when you compare Mission Control to Exposé, Exposé is the most usable one.

Here's what you see with Exposé with 5 windows:

And this is what you see with Mission Control with 4 windows:

Hmm... I see this reasoning all the time from someone who don't like Lion yet here Exposé in Lion. 3 fingers swipe down. Very easy.

To everyone who thinks App Exposé is the same as Exposé on Lion. THEY ARE NOT. I love how everyone did not say App Exposé was the same as Exposé on Snow Leopard but now that it's been replaced by Mission Control every Lion aficionados say they are the same.

I can't stress enough to tell you that what about multiple apps with multiple windows? This is where Mission Control falls short.

Lion is on the first Intel Mac I own, but the Macs at school are all on Snow Leopard. The only issue I have with Lion is Mission Control feels more like a "beta" than a finished product. If there was a way to re-enable Snow Leopard's Expose & Spaces vs. Mission Control I definitely would, but it's not that big on an issue to me.

I'm a little upset though how the organization of Spaces are in Mission Control, however. I have them set up specifically, so stop moving them!

You can prevent the spaces from moving by deselecting the second option in Mission Control preferences in System Preferences.

I didn't say it's the same thing. I just pointed out that, in Lion, it doesn't only show group windows like you demonstrated. You compared windows from the same app yourself.

I hate Lion!!

I upgraded (clean install) the day after Thanksgiving. I didn't like it at first, but I thought I would get used to it... I didn't.

1) Mission Control is in my opinion a downgrade from Exposé.
2) It made my 2008 MBP run like crap. On SL, I had several "heavy" apps open at the same time. On Lion, I could only run iTunes/GarageBand/iMovie/Photobooth/Photoshop one at a time.
3) Several apps that used to be free now needed to a paid license to run (Looking at you Growl). But I know that it's not Lion's problem, and I'm just being cheap :D
4) It took longer to connect to wifi networks when I woke it from standby, which isn't a deal-breaker, but still annoying.
5) The keyboard backlight no longer worked. I downloaded an app to fix this, but it was glitchy. I don't know why apple removed this.
6) Did I mention that Mission Control sucks?

Last night I popped in my Snow Leopard disk and downgraded. Couldn't be happier.

Yeah using the same app was a bad example but for those who know what the problem is with Mission Control, we got the point that the old Expose showed all windows (including those that are minimized) which is way better than Mission Control. Oh well, Mission Control is here to stay, if you don't like, stay with Snow Leopard (like I am) until you're really forced to upgrade.

I just noticed this too! With Leopard/Snow Leopard, once you woke your Mac, it was already connected to the network. With Lion, it's like it's scanning or authenticating with the network to connect. It's only a few seconds but still...

While the feature was cool, I find that I am just as productive with good ol' fashion cmd+tab. It's also faster

Exposé & cmd+tab are perfect for me.

Yup. Most of my apps run in full screen and I just swipe left and right. I rarely bother with Mission Control.
