Will you stick to the canonical pronunciation of the Roman numeral that Apple uses in PR, or will you pronounce it as the letter?

I’ll try to say iPhone Ten but then I said “Oh Ess Ex” for a decade so...
I say it as iPhone 10. But I visualize it as iPhone X. (As in the letter. )
I understand the X means 10, but Apple is so stupid if they expect people to understand that. I will tell everyone it's the iPhone X, and that's exactly what the general public will know it as anyway.

I am already better at saying “iPhone Ten” than I am at “OS Ten.” It’s some sort of mental block or something.
To answer the OQ, I say iPhone Ten about 85% of the time, but I do slip.
It depends. Generally speaking if someone asks what kind of phone I have I’d say an iPhone.

I find I want to say ‘ex’ but when I’m saying it out loud I say ‘10’.

Completely anecdotal, but so far my friends, family, and coworkers (all of whom are not very tech savvy) have been calling it “ex”.
I imagine most will be calling it that just because there’s no other context that it’s a Roman numeral, unlike a clock.

That's pretty much what I see as well.
It's hard to associate olde tyme Roman numeral X with a high-tech gadget. Everything out there uses X as X, e.g. Model X, Pixel 2 XL, BMW X6.
All my friends, relatives and colleagues have been calling it the "EX" and I keep having to correct them. I have been and will be calling it the 10.
