How Will You Setup?

I don't know what to do. There's only one app that I REALLY want to transfer over to my new phone.

It's Temple Run.

I have over 3000 of those wings and like 400k+ coins. =P

Other than that, I'm ready to start out fresh! xD

Some games save to Game Centre don't they? There should be a way of checking if it does?

Setting up as new. Will re-download everything.

There's no way to re-download anything if you set up as new, except for apps.

Still debating. I did a backup/restore from my 3gs -> 4s, but ran into similar crashing issues on both.

I currently only sync my contacts (not apps) with iCloud. What's the easiest way to restore all paid apps if you don't want to do a restore from backup? I think iTunes had just a "get paid downloads" or something.

iCloud is built into your phone. Just go to the purchased app in the App Store and click the download button

idk. I was deep into a season on my Fifa 12 once and after I had to do a restore, the game data was gone. I always thought game data was stored through game center but apparently not..

I'm running 5.1.1. jailbroken on my 4S, so seeing as I'm going to lose the J/B I think I'm going to go for a new set up.

Seriously, I'm upgrading from a 4/16 to the 5/32. With so little room on my current phone I've had to constantly dump pics, vids, apps that I don't need. So I'm in pretty good shape to just do a backup and restore.

On Friday I'll have plenty more room for a bunch of, erm, crap.

I'll be upgrading from a 3gs/8 to a 5/32 - I wont know what to do with all the extra memory!

Guessing setting up as new phone what things do you lose?

scores in games?
all your pictures in camera roll?
texts?

anything else?

least now with the cloud your contacts and apps are fine.

but surely if you have photo stream on all your pics from your camera roll would be in there, right? so you would still have your camera roll photos?

Well. . . . That would be reason enough for me!

I don't see a single reason to set up the phone as new...
All apps are sandboxed, if you delete an app all settings and all data from that app will be deleted as well.

What are the benefits of setting it up as a new phone?

I agree 100%.

I Will restore my new iPhone 5 with the cloud and move on with business. Do not have time, like others here, to worry about it. Do not have a bunch of "junk" on my device. It is a business device, not a toy!
