Just curious how those who want a 128 GB iPhone would use the space based on their current and planned usage.

For me personally, half of it would be used for ALAC music files. Then I'd keep many of my files on iCloud Drive, which, when cached on the device, would take up probably 5–10 GB. Then another 10 GB for photos, messages, and "Other". And lastly, about 10 GB for apps and games.

I wouldn't. That's way overkill for me for a phone. A tablet I would fill up with shows and movies, but even a 5.5 inch phone seems a bit small for me to watch hours of media on. I'm not a big mobile gamer, and my music and photo collections aren't nearly that big.

I'm okay with 16GB now, but my next phone will probably be 32.

I have over 60gb of music and another 20GB of images. Cant get it on my currect phone but will soon if they have a 128GB phone coming.

and before it is asked, I CHOOSE to have it on my phone if it will hold it!

NO CLOUD FOR ME!

I am by wifi far too frequently to justify spending the ridiculous premiums that Apple charged on additional storage space anymore. I bought into the 64GB with the 5S and it was money wasted.

I do tend to take a lot of pictures, so 32GB will likely be what I go with, and am really hoping they make that the base model this go around.

I'd love a 128GB+ ipad to store comics, videos, etc. on. I just don't see the appeal of storing an entire music library on my phone. I already have that with iTunes match and I personally don't listen to 90% of that stuff on any sort of regular basis.

If Apple ever decides to allow content to be streamed between a wifi connection (or some such) from one device to another I would rethink things and likely opt for a larger phone storage; this way I can have everything I use in one place.

I used to think that I *had* to have 128 GB, but now that I have a 128 GB iPad mini, I may be OK with 64 GB on my next phone. Photos would be what took up the most space; I normally take multiples of each shot and pick the best from there, and often am too damned lazy to go right back in and delete the extras. That'd be a really nice luxury with 128 GB to play with, but it won't kill me not to have it.

I definitely need 64 for my music, photos and videos.. but 128 would be overkill for me right now.

offline movie/episodes. my dear daughter needs her cartoons on those long trips to grandma's house.

Try stuffing 4 seasons of my little pony on a 16 gig 5C. Don't work.

I'm perfectly happy with 32GB for now - a few games, about 1,500 songs (compressed to 128 kbps - you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference when listening on the morning commute), my camera roll and maybe a few TV programmes still leaves me with 8GB free.

128GB would be nice - I could stick all my music on my phones, download more for offline listening off Spotify, have my photo collection and a few more games on there, but I just couldn't justify spending the extra that it would cost.

I take a lot of photos of my vegetable field, or snow if we get any. I would also maybe make videos of walking around the vegetables and showing the progress. With 128GB, I wouldn't need to worry about deleting the videos for a long time. I also would download lots of games. Games like Command & Conquer are close to 1GB I think.

This. I have so many games purchased but can only store a few at a time due to the large sizes. I would prefer to have them all stored on my phone at the same time.

I would locally store all of my paid music I have on my iPhone. But then again, I do just fine streaming it from iCloud.

I'd just install more apps, and maybe put some more music on there. Never used the cloud, and don't plan on it. (especially since we all know Jennifer Lawrence uses it, ewwwww)

Is there an easy way to stream all of my music from my home computer? I'm not interested in using iTunes Match. But if I could use my home computer as a streaming music server, I may be willing to deal with a much smaller disk.

I already use Air Video Server for videos, and I love it. It seems like music would be easier...

The only thing getting a 128GB iPad made me think is how much I need a 256GB iPad. Or iPhone.

iTunes Match has long since eliminated the need for a 128gb iPhone.

When did the carriers start offering free, unlimited data plans? I must have missed that.

I'd add my music and apps. That's standard. Then I'd stuff it with TV shows, music videos and movies until it was full to the brim. It doesn't matter how much space I have I'll fill it.

Mmmm, I wouldn't call it hoarding.

It's not is it. It's called having what you need at your disposal lol
