I fixed my battery "issue!" You can too!!!

As many of you probably already have as well. I simply turned off the battery % meter. WOW! What a difference!! My OCD no longer makes me sweat! Phone lasted 2 1/2 days before I had to recharge it! I still had white/green in the battery!! WHOO HOO!! I'm a genius!!! I stopped looking obsessively at the meter every 5 minutes, sweating a 2% drop!! I was even able to get thru dinner last night without looking at my battery meter once! Thanks MacRumors!!!!

Yes, percentage meters, real time stats, etc. are the devil for us OCD'ers. Glad it's working for you.

Blah blah blah blah

And even then why would you sit here and bitch and moan, just call apple and force a new phone to be sent to you.

Blah blah blah blah.

Already got a new phone from Apple after fighting with 3 geniuses over my battery life and proving to them I've restored multiple times as a new device. My replacement phone has the exact same battery life as the original one. That's why I'm pretty confident it's an OS of software compatibility issue.

Edit: Here's my battery life right now.

Wow that's horrible, and you were on WiFi the whole time?

That's the usage I get on 3G with a crappy signal...

Yeah, that's pretty bad. Here's mine with similar usage and standby. Wifi was on all day because I forgot to turn it off.

How does this solve anything? People are going to ignore the battery percentage yes, but they're still going to check the usage times constantly and see that the phone is almost dead with only 4 hours of usage. Or should they hard reset too after charging to full so the usage times don't show up?
