hehe... good ol' minority report. We always joke around the office about how tired we would get if we had to edit our commercials standing up and moving our arms like crazy! lol

Actually for professional photography, multitouch will make tasks such as sorting, retouching, resizing photos a snap. It'll eventually be here. We are closer now, since Apple is cranking up the capacity to make more multi touch screens for iPhone and iPod touch.

Can't wait. Hopefully sooner than later.

You know, the way that computers make everything so easy is not necessarily a good thing. Back when we had typewriters that required a degree of strength to press the keys down, there was no carpal-tunnel. It was the advent of the light touch keyboard that introduced that problem. And do you really believe that we were designed (euphemistically speaking) to sit in front of a computer all day, barely moving a muscle? No, we were designed to be out on the plains, running, digging, climbing, etc. So, adding a little required exercise to the daily grind is never, from my perspective, a bad thing.

Of course, we also seem to try to be as lazy as possible, so I doubt it would really catch on. Oh well.

When are they going to release the iExercise? It will be revolutionary!

Actually a multi-touch screen will give people more exercise... be fun to have it with a multi touch floor matt, so you can do combos =)

So Apple itself couldn't use their own product? :p

lol, for Apple and it's secrecy, that sounds about right. My buddy had an interview there and had to wait outside a lab for a while while they covered up just about everything before he was allowed in. He got the job and I'm super jealous. There must be room for an ME Aero in this ECE computer world! :p

this would be great. and as some said turns the displace to something horizontal instead of vertical. i would love to do certain things (dragging files, modifying levels, changing preference, manipulating/editing photos) that a touch screen would be easier to do. It is like Brad Stine (a comedian) says about eating utensils, a knife, fork and spoon in tandem are better than chopsticks. A mouse, keyboard, and touch display will be better than just keyboard shortcuts, or mouse clicks, or command line. this would be a great feature. right now i'm just holding my breath for displays with the isights built in.

Well you don't need to join the gym and you guys will definitely get in a better shape. =p

I believe that every surface of the computer itself and anything that is attached to the computer wirelessly or otherwise should (and soon as well might) be able to accept touch input.

You should be able to disable it if you want, but the possibility should be there.
