I am not entirely sure this is legal, at least in California. They sell you a dangerous product, yet they will not refund your money and require you stay with their unreliable products.
Including baseus to your list too. I approved their products. Bought 3 of them for 2 years. Running smoothApple or Anker. If they don't make it, it's not powering my Apple devices – a rule that has served me well over the years.
I got this one, been using it for a year, I max it out almost every night. It gets a little toasty charging my big fridge battery, but never dangerously so.I purchased a Stackable charger because I liked the port selection on it: 3 USB-C + 1 USB-A. What other alternative charger is there on the market with these characteristics:
Thanks for the recommendations!
- 4 ports: combination of USB-C and USB-A
- 65W at least
- it is a wall charger: doesn't require an extra power brick to power it
Every external battery I purchased from Hyper has been DOA or just didn't give my lapto a full charge. It was easier to get the Anker power station. Couldn't be happier with Anker products.
Accessory maker Hyper is recalling its 65W and 100W HyperJuice Stackable GaN Chargers and its 130W Battery Pack because of a product design issue that can cause them to overheat while charging. Hyper says that this can lead to a "potential fire hazard."

Affected stackable products include the 65W and 100W GaN chargers that were initially introduced in 2021. Each one features a pass-through AC power outlet rated up to 1500W for stacking multiple units on top of one another. Each 100W unit featured three USB-C ports and one 18W USB-A port, while each 65W unit included two USB-C ports and one USB-A port.

The USB-C 130W Battery Pack was released in 2019, offering a 27,000mAh battery capacity. It included two USB-C ports and a USB-A port.

If you own one of the HyperJuice Stackable GaN Chargers or the 130W Battery Pack, Hyper is providing a one-time store credit in the full amount of the purchase price. There is no option for a cash refund for those who are no longer interested in owning Hyper products.
According to the recall site, approximately 18,200 Stackable Chargers were sold, and 13,700 battery packs were sold. Two battery packs overheated, resulting in smoke, melting, and property damage, and there were seven reports about the Stackable chargers. No injuries have been reported.
Consumers should stop using all of the recalled products immediately because of the fire risk.
Hyper is providing customers with a self-addressed prepaid shipping label for the return of affected units. Store credits will be issued when the product is returned or, if the product is no longer available, proof of purchase. Customers can learn more on Hyper's website.

And you still continue to use it?? Don't complain when it.... Oh wait, you may not be able to complain anymore. For a 100w rated charger, I don't understand why it has no earth pin. This thing gives me a good shock every now and then.
Wait so this wasn't in fact safe? Never saw that coming.
Agreed. I have had nothing but problems and data loss with their USB-C dock for iPad. Never again. They wouldn’t replace it either. Bought a cheap Anker one and it has been absolutely perfect.I support MacRumors from reporting these PSAs, but I hope it would refrain from accepting commissions from Hyper in the future. This company has zero regard for product safety and has willfully neglected to provide support until the problem became more widespread.
I bought both the 65 and 100 watt versions on Kickstarter. My wife got a 100 watt, which ultimately overheated (plastic actually bubbled) and was replaced. I never had a problem with either charger, but will be returning them due to the fire risk. I found these on Amazon; both are made by Anker. The 150W version has 3 USB C and 1 USB A charging port. The 65W has 2 USB C and 1 USB A port. Both are GaN.I purchased a Stackable charger because I liked the port selection on it: 3 USB-C + 1 USB-A.
