Did you eliminate salt from your diet ?
Is that even possible? Sounds like a bland way to live. Regardless, my sodium levels are totally normal. If there's one thing my pcp and cardiologist agreed on so far is that it's totally unrelated to salt.
Do you eat a lot of foods high in Magnesium? If not, this can help.
Nope.
A full battery of tests including MRI/sonogram to evaluate any abnormalities, as well as bloodwork (e.g. lipid panel, triglycerides, etc. to assess risk) provide an experienced cardiologist with the data points they need to make a reasoned determination of what your treatment plan should be, including medication, exercise, dietary changes, etc.

Yeah I've got blood work and a stress test and one other type of test scheduled. Hopefully I should have a treatment plan by the beginning of May.

My 2p worth.

Essential Hypertension [hypertension with no underlying syndrome cause] aged 25 is very strange if you're not obese. Your doctor needs to think about primary causes, much of which are kidney related and are probably related to some of the blood tests your cardiologist has done. A scan of your kidneys (to look for renal artery stenosis), for example, may be necessary.

Out of interest hypertension is so common that most people will have it at some point. What is unusual would be if you have a relative aged under 65 with hypertension/ cardiac disease without risk factors (obesity, diabetes, smoking, hypercholesterolaemia).

Being a gadget person who loves things on sale, I bought an iHealth Blood Pressure monitor. It saved my life. I'm 47 and I'd never worried about my blood pressure before that. My readings were even higher than the OP. I highly advise seeking a doctor's advice sooner rather than later. I now take two medications daily; Micardis and Amlodipine. Within a few weeks my blood pressure went to high normal range and has stayed there. Cutting back on salt is never a bad idea but there is no substitute for a doctor visit.
