As I was typing this I had a long response in mind and then I saw the date of the OP's post and was like aarrgggg BAHROO!!!!!

Really, what's the big deal??? it's a simple mistake (which easily could have been much worse)

it's not a simple mistake, i totally agree with the OP

Once i sent an sexually explicit (i mean really explicit) text to a booty call and instead it went to one perspective client, i sent it and I got a reply back "WTF?" i was so embarrassed i could have killed my self, i sent a text back "sorry my friend was playing with my phone etc". Needless to say I lost that client. :(

The difference is that this wasn't sexually explicit, it was a heart emoticon. Even the most curmudgeonly, cantankerous old coot would be able to deal with it following an explanation and possibly apology from the OP. If he gets dropped for this, rest assured that the client was going to do it anyway and just needed an excuse.

Agreed, the OP's mistake while slightly embarrassing really isn't a big deal.

I know this thread is very old but I'm guessing this issue has been fixed.

I just tried to replicate what the OP experienced and after numerous attempts I couldn't reproduce it once on my iPhone 5.

Unless I totally misunderstood it, I loaded up the conversation page of messages with my wife then locked the phone, had someone else text me and when I unlocked the phone, it went straight to the conversation page of the last received text, not my wife's - the way it should be.

^^^

it may not be a big deal for most of you, but it was for him !

Yeah over a year ago it was a big deal....

BUT easy solution is to simply look to see who you're texting. A users inability to look to see whom their texting isn't apples issue, it's the users.

Point made.

My iPhone might have made for the embarrassment of my life. My girlfriend texted me a heart, so I sent her one back...so I thought.

I slid the slider, and it went to a text message of MY ****ING CLIENT. Why the **** would Apple make it jump to another totally unrelated message, when I slid the slider with the text from my girlfriend? It went to the client. And IIRC, It has been something that has remained unfixed since iOS 1! When I slide the slider, and the text was from my girlfriend, it should GO TO THE GIRLFRIEND'S TEXT, not to someone else who I was also talking to the same day.

I am VERY pissed off at the situation.

This is not what I expect out of Apple at all.

Don't blame Apple for your own ignorance. The fault is yours. Nobody else's. Next time, use your ****ing eyes.
