Then which course of action available to you might most likely achieve results?

a) Learn more about your current software;
b) Choose different software;
c) Start an online insurrection.

This isn't a timed quiz. We'll wait for your answer.

Sometimes money and access to such software is an issue too? I am not an Apple hater, I have a MacBook and I use iTunes. I make purchases with my iTunes account. I expect them to work. When Apple's software does not work after you have given them money, or when Apple limits you in any way, they should work on correcting the issues.

This doesn't include engaging in advertising wars with Microsoft or cold wars with Adobe.

Ok, you are changing your argument. Therefore, I will revise the quiz:

d) Submit feedback to Apple about problem.

Or did you go directly to "start insurrection" as a method of venting your frustrations?

Nothing you have purchased from iTunes uses Flash. Your argument is specious.

I don't believe I went too far off topic, but I was just responding to your little quiz. Excuse me if my arguments are a little cloudy (I am trying my best to keep this organized), but I did not mean to insinuate that my iTunes purchases use Flash. I purchased a video from iTunes on my PC, and it would not play. I don't see the word Flash there, sorry.

I don't want to argue about tin foil or play your little quiz game any more. I stand by my statement that Apple is sabotaging, (i.e. making it difficult for their software to run smoothly on other systems and making it difficult for other companies to develop for Apple), their relationship with other companies and other companies abilities in general.

So we're talking about Adobe on cell phones (iPhones), right?

Well Blackberry doesn't have it on their native browser. iPhone obviously doesn't. Windows Mobile doesn't.

So why aren't you yelling at them either?

Because I use Apple products. Therefore I care about Apple products. This is also an Apple forum. Adobe has also made comments regarding said restrictions, which can be seen in the image in a previous reply.

But any way, I am also talking about how Apple software doesn't work great on other systems (such as iTunes). Now I don't know 100% whose fault this is (although I am assuming Apple's given my observations), but I give money to Apple through iTunes and since this is the case, I think it is up to Apple to make sure that their software is working properly. What good is a movie on iTunes if you can't watch it?

I really do feel that Apple doesn't care too much about iTunes for the Windows platform, and whether it is negligence or sabotage, it is not fair to the consumer who uses both products from Apple as well as other companies.

Okay but since it happens to every cell phone company out there including Apple, we should get mad at Apple for it? I'm confused.

Oh and I use iTunes regularily on 5 PCs + MacBook (OS X + Win 7) and I haven't had any problems.

I'm going to go with... TROLL

it's not negligence or sabotage at all. it's priorities. you should be feeling lucky that itunes for Windows even exists.

if it seems like apple is doing better work with it's mac versions as opposed to the windows versions, well... common sense. why wouldn't they? they know Mac OS better than Win, and it's an Apple product.

That's great that everything is working great for you.

It's not for many people

And I don't mean to overemphasize this specific issue either. Apple needs to get its act together. Enough restrictions and wars. Work with other companies and stop letting problems linger as long as they do. Take Flash for example - how long is this going to go on? Are we supposed to wait for another format? Or can the two companies work together and fix it once and for all?

Adobe has made their "plea" for fewer restrictions, so what's stopping Apple? I'd really like to know.

Yes, every company has priorities. But like I said, I am giving Apple money through iTunes so I'd like to be able to watch said purchases without having to resort to Google to fix things as basic as video playback.

And of course Apple knows Mac OS better than Windows, but there is no reason why Apple can't work cooperatively with MS to get iTunes running on Windows as well as it does on Mac OS. Office for Mac was done quite nicely.

I normally don't respond to stupidity but.

You link goes to a google search of issues that are mostly from 2006 under Windows XP.

Windows XP. Do I need to say more? 2006.

Go get a life please and end your suffering because 90% of the people in this topic don't care. They are playing with you and you are biting the worm.

Please don't use MacRumors as your personal vendetta board. Go to a Microsoft board and complain there.

Reported.

I don't usually respond to pinpointing, but are you discrediting my problem and many other reported problems?

This is a discussion forum, I will discuss as I please.

Both Apple and Adobe rely on one another for a major portion of their business. Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator were both originally released originally for Mac. Apple continued selling one version of their Power Mac G4 (the last processor that could run Mac OS 9 natively) after the release of the Power Mac G5 until Adobe went OS X-native, and kept the Power Mac G5 in stock after the Intel switch until Adobe released CS3 with native Intel support.

So don't talk to me about Apple blocking Adobe out in order to... I don't even know why you think they'd do this, but they aren't.

Have you ever used the Mac version of Windows Media Player? Now that's a broken monkey-fest.

Safari, iTunes, and Quicktime have all worked fine on the PC for years.

Flash has too much of the web gripped by the balls. h.264 + HTML5 is something I'd rather wrap my head around.

Also, flash works perfectly fine on my MBP with SL. Rarely it hiccups but so does flash on my windows box and my linux box. Its just bad in general.

EDIT: Apple is trying to monopolize both the mobile phone market and the mp3 player market by making companies like BlackBerry and Zune unable to develop peacefully on the Apple OS! Apple users have no choice but to go for the iPhone and iPod!!!

Apple makes it just as easy as any other company, as long as you don't think your going to get native itunes support, you can easily make an itunes syncing program.

How old are you?
