What part of melrose's post didn't you agree with?

Macca sucks, and he picks on poor disabled women, but only after he marries them.

George was cool.

John was overrated.

Ringo was meh.

I guess I don't agree with Ringo being useful, or Hey Jude being their best song, but the stuff about Macca, George, and John were quite accurate.

Macca's a bit of a control freak alright, but I wouldn't go quite so far as to say he picks on disabled women! :p

George was not that cool, but that's only my opinion.

John, overrated yeah, but still unbelievable.

How can you not love Ringo??? :D

I stand corrected about Hey Jude; I stand by the Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds though. Even Paul will admit it has a connection to drugs. Musical taste is subjective - yeah I'll give you that also (why else would rap be so popular?).

@Tim: Was Number 9 on I Am The Walrus or was that Revolution? now that you mention it I'm not sure... I thought it was Revolution... hmm

That whole album was freaky... They say Charles Manson got his inspiration from that album..

"Let the f***ers work that one out, Pete"

Lol, I think it might've been Lennon trying to be as obscure as possible. Perhaps he got tired of explaining his lyrics to everyone. I do think the song has a meaning however, but I've no idea what that meaning is. If you want to be even more confused, remember the lyrics from the glass onion:

"Well here's another clue for you all, the walrus was Paul."

So either Paul McCartney had a connection with walruses or John liked to mess with people's heads :p. Wonderful song though.

i dont know exactly what the last couple verses mean but heres what i have for the meaning of this song

1st Stanza- “we are all together” everybody is the same and together, maybe through the human race. “See how they run…” maybe people running from the police? “See how they fly” could be talking about how fast the run, and it makes the speaker sad.
2nd Stanza- The first line is talking about how people have to wait at the bus stop and it’s so crowded you have little room to sit on the bench, “waiting for the van to come” is just saying that the bus is also crowded and it feels more like a van than a bus. “corporation t-shirt” could be talking about how they are all in suite for work and don’t like it. “stupid bloody Tuesday” they don’t like Tuesdays? “man you’ve been a naughty boy…” is saying that they all have become accustomed to their jobs and just focus on that and not having fun in life “you let your face grow long” = “why the long face?” “I am the eggman…” goes back to how everyone is related through the human race. “I am the walrus…” No clue.
3rd Stanza- “mister city police man sitting” is talking about how the cities police man are at work behind desks. “Pretty little police men...” Is talking about the swat team that comes to fight of protestors. “See how they run” the people running from the police. “I’m crying….” The speaker is sad to see all of this happen.
4th Stanza- Lines 1-3 are talking about prostitutes and how they have nasty, gross looking men that they have sex with. “I am the eggman…” back to how we are all related.
5th Stanza- Lines 1-3 are saying that while you’re trying to tannin your backyard you will get rained on because it rains almost every single day in England so the rain will cover you like a tan would. Then lines 4-5 are going back to how we are all related through the human race.

The music is not performed by the Beatles, a band I'm not in to at all. The music is all redone and very good. I found myself becoming very fond of the music as my daughter played the movie over and over again! And I have to say, I've you've never done acid, this movie will give you a good feel for it; I highly recommend it. (the movie, not acid, that's another thread.)

I find I also like the Beatles music more when performed by others.

It's about George being a Walrus.

No. "The walrus was Paul"

See the lyrics from Glass Onion.

It stems from the whole 'Paul is dead' rumor. A walrus is a symbol of death, which represented Paul. However, it was John singing "I am the walrus" in the song. Also, if you look at the cover of Magical Mystery Tour, Paul is wearing a walrus costume.
