An iPad mini's not as portable as iPhone/iPod touch as it doesn't fit in your pocket. But if pocket-readiness isn't needed, yes!

i agree that i isn't as portable- i think apple really needs to start updating the iPod touch and put the newest tech because they put year old tech in it and nobody wants that-and buy the end of the 2 year iPod touch cycle the a5 processor will be 3 years old.
