I don't know what the terms and conditions are over in the US, but here in blighty you can take it back for any reason up to 14 days after purchase for a full refund.
Do that and get yourself an HD Cam Recorder, no point in paying for 2 phone contracts.

You would have paid more on Verizon, and they are doing the same thing, why should they give you a sub pricing if your not eligible, besides AT&T pays Apple a lot of $ for each iPhone so if your not up on your 2 years, then you pay a premium.

Yea i tried. I could always sell these iphones for fast on craigslist. If i just couldnt wait for the 5. I doubt that the 5 will be that much of a upgrade.
Like others have said here just take it back if you feel like it wasn't worth the money. Nothing worse then buyer's remorse.

iPhones hold their value well and sell fast. Especially if you can sell it unlocked.

I would have been happy to spend $499 to get an early upgrade from my 3GS to an iphone 4 last summer. But what really upsets me is that AT&T told me that since I already paid $499 one time in 2009 to early upgrade from my 3G to 3GS, I can not do it again. Apparently AT&T only lets people early upgrade once in a lifetime. So to get the iphone 4 early, I would have had to pay $699 PLUS SIGN ANOTHER 2 YEAR CONTRACT! How can AT&T expect me to pay the full unsubsidized iphone 4 price, AND still get stuck with another 2 year contract??? That is what I call a real Rip-off!

I thought they had some Spanish mix or something. Not sure the dialect they spoke but I heard it was some form of Spanish or Catalan Latin mix.

Possibly, you should have been able to get the 16 GB for $399 if you are already in a contract. I'm not sure where the $499 price is, unless that was the 32 GB.

I may have slightly misspoken, it's technically more of an ethnic slur, but it's like saying anti-Semetic terms aren't racist because it's a religion/ethnic group, not a race.
