I know! I am not going to go with that lie! That was a joke :p

And Apple said it will cost $1300 to fix it! But I found manufactured, brand new screen for $300, and 2morrow, I am going to ask an authorized Apple retail store, and see how much it would cost them to install it! It shouldn't be more than $200! (So I guess Apple is really ripping me off here!) (Plus, as someone posted up there, the DT&T does it for $850! So Apple is being to expensive now)

$1300? You would probably get that much if you sold it on Ebay as a broken laptop!

I know! That's why I'm confused! I always thought Apple has a great customer service! But that is the worst I have found! I mean what the hell is that? $1300? You can get a really good PC for that price! And it's almost half the price of the MacBook Pro too!

That would be a blatant lie. Whatever happened to personal integrity?
tbh i'd rather be $1300 better off than keeping my "personal integrity" in tact.
F
The poster above is right though. Without integrity you have nothing. Lying to save yourself money is not right ever, this is not some heartless corporation. Little old ladies have Apple stock in their retirement plans and you'd be taking their money too. In the long run you reduce profitability for Apple and that raises prices for all of us.
that may be the highest concentration of bull5h17 ever to be contained in so few words.

MRoogle! Check the link out in my signature, you can find any post.

And hey, why flame this guy for actually searching? Flame him for not contributing anything worthwhile the forum. haha

I know about MRoogle, it was more of a joke, trust me I do search. But I mean, really he didnt have anything to contribute which is bad enough, but he bumped a 21 month old thread...

You have to be very technically proficient to replace the LCD in a laptop. Unfortunately, based on the questions the OP asked, the OP probably do not have the skill, knowledge, and equipment to perform LCD replacement.

The screen on the MBP comes off as an entire assembly because the glass is basically glued to the LCD with an adhesive (think first gen iPhone). It is Apple's policy to just swap out the whole thing if the screen, glass, bluetooth, or wireless chips go bad. The part itself can be had for much less on eBay and replaced yourself with instructions here.
