I Can’t Believe I’m 70

I’ll be 69 in a few weeks. Still mostly functional. I recall my 21st birthday while stationed at Mare Island CA going to crypto school courtesy of the USN. Seems like just yesterday. The wife and I recently celebrated anniversary #40.

Life’s been good so far despite cancer battles for the both of us. We are living comfortably as a result of years of hard work. Comfortably enough to buy silly things that I don’t need like iPhone 17’s and 485HP Dodge Challengers.

Gotta try to to enjoy life every day cause tomorrow is guaranteed to no one.

I can't believe I'm not yet 70!

Living feels like a cupola'hunnert' years, yet I perceive myself as a 12-y/o

While my challenged body often cannot perform the way it could four decades ago, I am continually surprised by just how willing my little organism is.

Looking forward to the next seventy . . . .

I started at GM May 1985, bought my first car then, a white 1986 IROC-Z , fun car.

Retired May 2025, got myself a white 2025 Nissan Z car, manual 6-speed of course.
400hp is quick enough for me.

I only turned of TCS once then did this a few weeks back,
Yea, I reverted back to being 17

I’ve only hit triple digits a few select times. More so I just love zipping 0-60-ish then driving “my age” .
