I do the same with my iPhone 7 Plus for the same reasons you listed. While I'm fooling myself into thinking that this will reduce the germs for more than a few hours, I still have the urge to do it.
I hold it under the tap for a brief two seconds, to wash it off. I just prefer it that way. I do the same with my LG G6 and both phones haven't complained, the former of which I've owned since release day.
Excellent, good to know i am not alone

I am not saying one should get all that concerned - and like I said - I am not - but I do understand where the OP got the notion from and I do know some people get very concerned about germs.
At night i sleep with phone, i sleep alone, during sleep we don’t know where does our hand goes, you know the places, during sleep i am sure i touch phone or sometimes i wake up use phone and sleep. So that’s the main reason i wash phone.

Also, over time the seals that make it water resistant will wear down.
[doublepost=1508045971][/doublepost]Question, do you wash your tv remotes to?
TV remotes are not water resistant, plus At night i sleep with phone, i sleep alone, during sleep we don’t know where does our hand goes, you know the places, during sleep i am sure i touch phone or sometimes i wake up use phone and sleep. So that’s the main reason i wash phone.

If you’re running the phone under the tap then water pressure from that isn’t something to be too super concerned about. The water resistant seals aren’t gonna fail due to a light rinsing (with that said I wouldn’t do it every day) but the potential of the metal charging contact points in the charging port possibly corroding from getting wet so often over time would be more concerning to me.
You made a good point about water and metal contacts.

Everyday?
I’m already willing to bet you’ve tripped the water damage sensor on the inside
These phones aren’t water proof and the water resistance is hit or miss
So far its working good not complaints but if something happens i will post here so ppl learn from my experience.

Unless your using soap, germs are not going to be washed off your phone. It’s the same way with hands, washing with water alone does not sanitize it.
Do you recommend using soap and water? Or use just the sanitizer?

I read lot of posters comment and i will be careful now washing it.
