For those who buy Surface devices, what is it about them?

I find for a lot less money you get more from Dell (XPS 9370, 9570), Lenovo (X1 Carbon, X1 Carbon Extreme, S730, C930), HP (Spectre x360 13/15 Whiskey Lake), Huawei (MateBook X Pro, MateBook 2018), Asus (Zenbook 13/14/15/Pro) etc in that form factor/spec. I find them asking for too much money when they still refuse to provide TB3 on them and force you on that’s propriety charger/display port.

I’m not sure why Microsoft charge so much to be honest. Considering how late they announced, was hoping they’d equip them with the latest Whiskey Lake chips, but nope. Battery size of 45 Wh is also questionable given the resolution it has to pump.

I have had it a year now and the fabric still looks like it did when I got. No worn areas, discoloration, dirt, etc. Very happy with it. I use it every other day.

Good to know. I've been thinking of getting this year's model, but that was a major concern of mine. I don't usually get hung up on cosmetic considerations, but I don't want the keyboard to look stained and gross.
