I still don't see why there is any need for a camera on the device.

A back facing camera is ludicrous, no one is going to hold up an iPad to take a photo. A front facing camera is stupid as well, besides the fact that half the networks still wont allow video conferencing over 3G, it's a case of either holding up your iPad in front of you, buying the stand, or crouching over it like an idiot.

Any camera that goes on this device will be Apple caving to public pressure, unfortunately the public are idiots who have no idea what they want. If I asked my customers want they wanted, they would reply "a faster horse".

No one is going to use the camera, it's going on there because it will make the device sell better and it costs pennies to stick in a cheap low grade camera.

Rear facing camera works great for document "scanning" type apps.

I'm getting it regardless of whatever improvements it does or doesn't get. I'm looking so forward to it.

Getting it, like the idea of the camera. Face time, barcodes, and I think it would be cool to take pictures with a rear facing camera. Hopefully it is at least 5 megapixels but I doubt it. The wife gets the hand me down on iPad 1

Im loving my iPad, so Ill wait to see if they release an iPad 3, which I imagine would be built to take advantage of iOS 5/6 and then think about getting that.

i dont care about the specs i am buying 3 of them. one for me and two for my parents :)

only reason i dont buy one now is that i have waited so long....

Only one post mentioning the processor and memory?

The current software is already taxing the resources, so the next iPad should contain enough juice for the at least the next few software updates.

Same thing happened on the iPhone - laggy response in the mail app, and other apps that scroll.

I too am one of those people that waited for Ipad 2 and despite people here talking down about the ipad 2, I am still getting it because I waited for one for a while now. Originally I did get excited about XOOM but when I saw the price tag, I could not see myself investing that much money on a tablet right now :)

I just picked up an iPad, and I'm very happy with it. Only if apple updates the screen resolution or some other earth shattering change will cause me to upgrade. I'm very content with what I have, and I see little reason for me to sell this puppy and get a new one.
